At Compass, we curate each of these deliberately, bringing together interesting people in remarkable places and creating the conditions for meaningful conversations, new connections and unexpected opportunities.
Our three pillars
Three things we think about before anything else, for every room we make.
The guest list is part of the experience.
We think carefully about who an event is for and who should meet whom. Sometimes that means founders and investors. Sometimes experts and an international community. Sometimes simply an interesting mix of people who would never otherwise find themselves around the same table.
The room changes the conversation.
A historic wine cellar. A riverside setting. A private collection behind normally closed doors.
We look for places with character, settings that give people something to discover, something to talk about and a reason to remember the occasion.
There should always be a reason to gather.

The best events don’t manufacture connection. They create the conditions for it.

A global community, gathered in Lisbon.
A one-day gathering exploring what it really means to build a life across borders, bringing together international residents, experts, entrepreneurs and businesses for practical insight, honest conversations and meaningful connection.
The Lisbon summit covered practical subjects including immigration, tax, healthcare, property, education and finance alongside identity and wellbeing.

Portugal around one long table.
An intimate evening at José Maria da Fonseca’s historic Quinta da Bassaqueira: private access, Portuguese wine, dinner by candlelight and a carefully assembled group of internationals.
The original evening combined a museum tour, tasting, dinner and music, with the setting and conversation given as much importance as the programme itself.

CityArt is a Lisbon-based cultural project created around a simple idea: art can bring people together.
Through exhibitions, opening nights, workshops and cultural gatherings, CityArt creates opportunities for emerging artists to be seen while giving people a reason to encounter art — and one another — in a more personal setting.

Compass Global Events creates and curates gatherings designed around people, place and purpose.
Based between Portugal and the UK, we create our own event concepts and work with organisations and communities to bring distinctive gatherings to life.
We believe the best events aren’t measured only by attendance, production or what happened on stage.
They’re measured by who met, what was shared and what happened next.
Meet the founder
Compass was founded by Talli Tanya Fisher, whose own path has crossed countries, professions and communities.
Talli began her career in law before life took her in a less conventional direction — from managing intellectual property portfolios and properties to tour guiding, running a gallery, supporting emerging artists and creating community events.
Across those different chapters, one thread kept appearing: a fascination with people, identity, belonging and what happens when the right people are brought together.
Living internationally also gave Talli a particular appreciation for the importance of community, and for the places, conversations and introductions that can turn somewhere unfamiliar into somewhere you belong.
